Mesa County Animal Services is offering a $50 summer adoption special from July 7 through July 17.

The cliffside west of the 29 Road Bridge slid into the Colorado River on June 30, 2023, leading Mesa County Public Works, Mesa County Emergency Management, Mesa County Sheriff's Office, and Grand Junction Fire Department to respond to the scene to assess and evaluate the situation. The public is encouraged to avoid the area for safety reasons.

Last week Mesa County completed environmental mitigation of an area in Clifton that included the Peachtree shopping center, Union Pacific Railroad, CDOT, and Mesa County.

The second first-degree murder conviction and life sentence of Michael F. Blagg will stand, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday.

In July, Mesa County will begin a project to enhance drainage along the west side of West Scenic Drive in the Redlands.
